Pottery Manufacturing Project

Currently, two workers are engaged in the production of clay products at the center, under the guidance of the authority. Training in the use of kilns and the finishing of clay products has been provided to them. Located on an 80-perch land, the center consists of two main halls and three kilns, including an electric-powered kiln. To enhance production efficiency, increase production capacity, and diversify product offerings, new machinery has been introduced, including a clay lamp production machine, a gas-fired kiln production machine, and a clay molding machine.

The Soap Project

As a cure for the current sharp increase in soap prices on the market, this center’s pure coconut oil is now being used to produce soap, which began in 2022.

Coconut Oil Production Project

In addition, the center launched the SPIDA Clean Coconut Oil project in 2020. To improve the project’s efficiency and expand its capacity, a new building was constructed at the center. The introduction of new equipment, including a coconut drying machine and an advanced oil extraction machine, has allowed for the production of fresh coconut oil at the center.

Bandungoda Technical Training Center

The Bandungoda Junior School, located within the Akmeemana Divisional Secretariat area, had been unused for a long time before being handed over by the Akmeemana Divisional Secretariat to the relevant authority for establishment as a technical training center focused on hybrid and EFI training programs.

Starting in 2018, the authority offered one-day and 60-hour certification courses on hybrid vehicle maintenance. From 2019, these programs were consolidated at the Bandungoda Technical Training Center, generating significant revenue for the authority and fostering the growth of professionals in the garage industry.

Moreover, additional industrial training courses were introduced to prepare unemployed youth for careers in various industrial sectors. A specialized hybrid training course, spanning 70 hours with 4-hour weekly sessions, was implemented, along with a 70-hour EFI vehicle maintenance course. These programs are conducted by resource persons with advanced knowledge and provide both theoretical and practical training.
