Ridiyagama Fish Breeding Unit

Located in Hambantota District, the Ridiyagama Fish Breeding Unit was handed over to the Southern Development Authority of Sri Lanka on September 14, 2018. It has since evolved into a profitable operation, contributing significantly to the sustainable development of the inland fishery industry in the region.

The rising global population and increased fish consumption necessitate sustainable aquaculture practices in every country. Sri Lanka faces a pressing need for better management of its fisheries resources to meet the domestic demand for fish. Expanding local fish production is the only viable solution to this issue.

In 2023, an additional 8 acres of adjacent land was allocated to the authority. A master plan has been proposed for its comprehensive development.

Inland Fish Packaging Project

Fish fingerlings are bred and released into tanks, generating significant revenue.

Production and sale of freshwater fish species, particularly Tilapia, through organized marketing channels.



Ridiyagama Fish Breeding Unit

Operates a thriving business model for freshwater fish farming and sales.

This facility aims to strengthen the local fisheries sector, boost rural incomes, and contribute to Sri Lanka’s food security and economic growth.

தலுன்னா வேளாண்மை மற்றும் கால்நடைப் பண்ணை

தலுன்னா வேளாண்மை மற்றும் கால்நடைப் பண்ணையானது, 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 1 ஆம் தேதி தென் மாகாண கால்நடை உற்பத்தித் திணைக்களத்தால் எங்கள் அதிகாரசபையிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டது. 2020 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்குள், சுமார் 800 இறைச்சிக் கோழிக் குஞ்சுகளை வளர்க்கும் திறன் கொண்ட ஒரு கோழிப்பண்ணை நிறுவப்பட்டது, மேலும் அதன் செயல்பாடுகள் 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை வெற்றிகரமாகத் தொடர்ந்தன. இப்பண்ணையில் தற்போது குறுகிய கால மற்றும் நீண்ட காலப் பயிர்கள் பயிரிடப்படுகின்றன. மேலும், அப்பகுதியின் மண் மற்றும் தட்பவெப்ப நிலைகளைக் கருத்தில் கொண்டு, தென்னை, விளாம்பழம் மற்றும் வாழை சாகுபடியும் பரவலாக விரிவுபடுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இயற்கை உர உற்பத்தி

2021 செப்டம்பரில், இயற்கை உர உற்பத்திக்கான ஒரு புதிய திட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இந்தப் பண்ணை, மாட்டுச் சாணம், கோழி எரு, உயிர் கரி, ஆட்டு எரு மற்றும் மக்கிய உரம் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு உரங்களை உற்பத்தி செய்து பொட்டலமிடுகிறது.



கிராமப்புற கோழி வளர்ப்பு மற்றும் நுண்ணுயிர் எதிர்ப்பி இல்லாத கோழி உற்பத்தி திட்டம்

சுமார் 400 பறவைகளை வளர்க்கும் கொள்ளளவுடன் ஒரு புதிய கோழிப் பண்ணை கட்டப்பட்டது.

கிராமப்புற கோழி வளர்ப்பு மற்றும் முட்டை உற்பத்திக்கான முன்னெடுப்புகள் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டன.

அந்தப் பண்ணை தோல் நீக்கப்பட்ட கோழி இறைச்சியை உற்பத்தி செய்யத் தொடங்கியது, அது பின்வருமாறு சந்தைப்படுத்தப்பட்டது:

2024-ஆம் ஆண்டில், ஹேப்பி குக் லான்லா பிரைவேட் லிமிடெட் நிறுவனத்துடன் இணைந்து செயல்படுத்தப்பட்ட ஒரு திட்டத்தின் கீழ், அந்தப் பண்ணை நீண்ட காலம் கெடாமல் இருக்கக்கூடிய டப்பாக்களில் அடைக்கப்பட்ட கோழி இறைச்சியை சந்தையில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது.

தங்கல்லே பிரதேச செயலகத்தின் கீழ் ரன்னாவில் அமைந்துள்ள ருவனிகம பல்நோக்கு சேவை மையம், 2020-ஆம் ஆண்டில் உப்புப் பொட்டலமிடல் திட்டம் ஒன்றைத் தொடங்கியது. அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து, 2021-ஆம் ஆண்டில், உள்ளூரில் கிடைக்கும் பல்வேறு மசாலாப் பொருட்கள் மற்றும் அது தொடர்பான பொருட்களை மையமாகக் கொண்டு, அந்மையம் ஒரு மசாலாப் பொருள் உற்பத்தித் திட்டத்தைத் தொடங்கியது.

Bogahapelessa Holiday Resort and Hela Bojunhala

Located in the Kataragama-Kavantissapura area of Tissamaharama, the Bogahapelessa Handicrafts Center has been developed by the authority as both a promotional hub for industrial sales and a holiday resort.

This project aims to provide accommodations for pilgrims visiting Kataragama and support local artisans by creating a space for promoting and selling their products. Additionally, the facility generates significant revenue for the authority through its services.
